TAIWAN - DAY 6 (PART 1)

Coming to an end of our trip, we headed to Taipei 101, the must go for tourists!

Before that, we had our daily dose of bubble tea! Not just any bubble tea, but KOI!

Located near our hotel, just a stone throw away.

Took a bus to Taipei 101

The tourist must go:

It's like Paragon in Singapore, where you can find most of the Luxury Brands.

Just dressed in shorts, haha! So lazy to dress up! Sloppy tourists!

Guess what we saw?
This is banned in Singapore by the way. It was the very first time I heard about them, think they are some cult group that will go on this kind of "strike".

Bei wanted a photo with them so badly.

The toilet @ Taipei 101 is absolutely gorgeous!
They have a chillax corner at the washroom. Singapore has this too, but no gorgeous wallpaper like these!

Comfy nice chairs!

Bench outside the washroom for men to wait. lol

Ticket prices, if you are interested:

We bought the tickets but wasn't allowed to go up yet due to overwhelming response. I'm not sure if business is so good for them everyday but they have a certain quota of people to be allowed up. So, we had to wait till 1-2 batches of people get down before we were allowed up. Meanwhile, walked around, they have alot of shops around the waiting area to suck your money dry.

People queuing up. long long queue!

Finally OUR TURN!!!

We were given walkies that will take you through the history/background of every part of Taipei 101. So, you put the walkie to your ear and listen while you stroll from one part to the other.

Here's what you will see:

The bird's eye view:

Some stuffs to read, but all in mandarin as usual. But fret not, the walkies speak English.

Some coral stuffs which they are super enthusiastic about, they have A LOT of it man! And they have stores towards the end of your journey where you can buy coral display, coral jewellery, pearl jewellery, jade stuffs, plenty!!! And when I say many stores, I meant to say A LOT, you simply have to walked through what seemed like 50 stalls and Edwin became the prey. In the end, we bought jade necklaces, one each for our mums.

This touch screen guide is so cool. I kept playing with it. Left it with tons of my finger prints. haha!

This is the useful walkie!

Bei was so attentive and paying attentive to all the walkie is saying.

They are really proud of this.

He is still listening!!!

We went up the rooftop, super windy!

This is the thing that hold the building in place.

After the tour, we were famished!
Guess where we dine?

Ding Tai Fung! Opened up the Menu and got a shock, so cheap!!!
In the end, we ordered too much -.-"

For one that doesn't like pork, this is surprisingly my favourite!
I can eat these all by myself and feel fat in the end.

This is nice! But don't think we have this in Singapore!

They have lockers outside the washroom, which is something Singapore ought to have!
It's so useful for crazy shopping! Imagine u shop so much then u can dump all your shopping in the locker and go have a meal without having to lug them all around!

Found a free trip bus to the train station! haha, cheapo is good!

Part 2 of DAY 6 is about shopping! Not much pictures though but ain't u curious where I bought all my cheap steals? :)
