This is the last part of DAY 1.
And it is featuring the first and most expensive meal of the whole trip!!!
USD 434.81
(before taxes and service charges)
More about that in a bit!
Here's my FACE first, heh!
After settling down our luggages,
we decided to be adventurous and walk to the Dive Centre to get our snorkeling equipment.
That was a bad bad decision,
WHAT A LONG WALK!!
So, for the way back, we decided to call for bungee.
We were so tired, we simply find a good spot and sat down to wait for the bungee.
Bei's work toy.
So in love and so blessed to be able to come here
Cam-whore loses no time and snaps away~
Bei gave up and started lying down.
Beach essentials.
Let's snorkel!!!
Bei's super excited.
The moment he stepped into our villa,
he was running and taking off his clothes.
LOL
The water at the villa is shallow,
so it's pretty safe for kids (but has BIG waves!)
But me being me,
I'm always in life jacket every time I go into the water.
Bei's so at ease.
Half the time, I was scared.
MEH
Bei's having a good soak in the Jacuzzi,
his expression is epic!
The hotel has a weekly list of programs,
listing the excursions available as well as the special theme dinners.
ISLANDER'S GRILL
Lively restaurant on the beach offering grilled fresh local seafood
Just nice,
our first night, @ Islander's Grill,
there's a LOBSTER & CHAMPAGNE BUFFET.
#takemymoney!!!
When we made the restaurant on phone,
the staff said it is USD 160.
But when we were seated,
the staff said it is USD 210 if we would like to have the champagne.
We were like "HUH? Isn't it USD 160?".
The staff then said it's USD 160 if we are not having the champagne.
I feel kind of cheated, sob.
In the end, we opt for excluding champagne cos we ain't really into alcohol.
THEN, the manager or something,
asked us if we would like to have some wine, blah blah.
One staff promptly brought over a bottle of wine and said
"This wine good, I give you cheap cheap, USD 70 only"
.....
Kind of hard-sell and I was already very sian and haven't even eat YET, so I just nodded.
Then, Bei ordered Coke and I wanted 1 too.
#cokeaddicts
Salmon wasn't their forte.
LOBSTER overdosed.
We paid so much,
I had to take 1000000 photos of it,
cos I couldn't eat 10000 of it.
I ate 1~2 lobsters and was mega-full.
The lobsters are so HUGE!!!
Love love the grilled prawns,
they pealed the skins and grilled it using satay sticks,
so it's fuss-free, I LIKE!
I think I had like 15 of it.
In the end, I had allergies when I'm back in Sg.
#mydoglife
The white wine,
which we had two glasses only.
It was so impossible to go down our throat.
Dining under a tree.
The dessert - ice cream
We brought about USD 1,400 cash to spend there for food and recreation.
Spending also 31% of the funds on the very first night kind of freaked us out,
so much so that we had cup noodles the very next day for lunch.
Oh ya, breakfast is provided along with hotel accommodation.
That's the most basic one.
Of course, you can choose the accomodation with all meals included,
but the meals will only be at the main restaurant,
thus I dont recommend that.
There are at least 11 restaurants there,
and the forums, reviews said to TRY THEM!!!!!
As we go along,
I will recommend the must-visit restaurants! :D
We were so full,
we strolled back to the villa.
SO ROMANTIC at night!!
♥♥
Will blog about DAY 2 soon!
